Toxoplasmosis
Es una infección producida
por toxoplasma gondii, protozoo intracelular de la subclase coccidia. Incluye
los géneros sarcocystidae y toxoplasma. El parasito adopta diferentes estados
según la fase de su desarrollo.
En la infección aguda se
encuentra la forma proliferativa, su tamaño es de 4 a 6 micras de longitud por
2 a 3 de ancho. La forma infectante es el ooquiste que sale en las materias

cuatro esporozoitos.
Ciclo de vida
1. los gatos

enteroepiteliales del intestino delgado se reproducen por esquizogonias.
3. en las mismas
células ocurre reproducción sexuada que da origen a los ooquistes.
4. a) los
ooquistes son infectantes por vía oral para animales domésticos y salvajes.
b) el hombre puede infectarse por vía oral
con los mismos ooquistes.
c) las carnes con quistes, crudas o mal
cocidas.
5. de los
ooquistes ingeridos se originan los taquizoitos que invaden las células.
